Bernard Budiansky (1925 - 1999)

Bernard Budiansky was an unabashed enthusiast about his profession, family, friends, and many other good things in life. He made innovative contributions to nearly every subfield of solid mechanics — the science of how materials and structures stretch, shake, buckle and break.
